Coral RKV is an artistic Augmented Reality application that works with the Rekindling Venus Coral posters to provide a portal to sea surface temperatures on the worlds coral reefs. It can be used wherever you find RKV posters to scan the images and watch the 3D reef environment come alive.
Touch your phone to activate the work, and point the phone at the Coral RKV poster. Touch again see a 3D virtual view of the coral and to get a data feed on current sea surface for the worlds coral reefs. The coral images have come from the worlds southern most reef near Lord Howe Island, Australia.
Coral RKV connects to the Rekindling Venus project which launches in digital planetariums and fulldome cinemas in June 2012.
